2023 Maryland PRIMA Training Scholarship
Maryland PRIMA recognizes the importance of continuing professional development and is pleased to offer a scholarship to attend Risk Management related training in 2024.
$3,000 is reserved for member requested/applied for training in 2023. Each approved scholarship will be capped at $1,000 maximum award, regardless of the total cost of training.
Below you will find the 2023 Maryland PRIMA training scholarship application requirements.
Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must be current risk management professionals of a public entity.

Applicants’ entity must be a member of Maryland PRIMA and National PRIMA.

Applicants must complete the 2023 Maryland PRIMA Training Scholarship Application.

Applicants must submit an up-to-date copy of their resume.

The application includes a 500-word essay. The essay should give a detailed description of the training (cost, duration, qualifications of instructors, etc.) and should specifically address how attending the training will enhance the applicant's career as a public risk management professional.

Applicants must agree to attend the outlined training if expenses are awarded.

Applicants must provide receipts for awarded expenses.
Training scholarship applications should be sent to the Maryland PRIMA Board at President@marylandprima.com, with the subject line, 2023 MDPRIMA Training Scholarship.
APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED ON A ROLLING BASIS FOR THE REMAINDER OF 2023, OR UNTIL FUNDS HAVE BEEN EXHAUSTED. Please allow 2-4 weeks for application consideration.
Awarded expenses can include transportation, hotel accommodations, meals and registration fees. Equipment and materials are not eligible for scholarship funding.
