Maryland PRIMA is pleased to offer a scholarship to attend the 2020 PRIMA Institute in Washington, D.C. on October 26-30, 2020.

Below you will find the 2020 PI scholarship application requirements.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must be current risk management professionals of a public entity.

  • Applicants’ entity must be a member of Maryland PRIMA.

  • Applicants must complete the 2020 PI Scholarship Application.

  • Applicants must submit an up-to-date copy of their resume.

  • The application includes a 500-word essay. The essay should explain the applicant's interest in attending PI. The essay should specifically address how attending the 2020 PI will enhance the applicant's career as a public risk management professional. Applicants may submit the essay via the application form or a separate  Microsoft Word document or PDF.


PI Scholarship applications should be sent to the Maryland PRIMA Board at President@marylandprima.com, with the subject line, PRIMA Institute 2020 Scholarship.


The Scholarship covers the following costs:

  • Tuition. 

  • Up to $100 in travel expenses.

  • Cost for Lodging.


Costs not covered:

  • Any travel expenses that exceed the $100 allotment.

  • Meals not provided by the conference


The finalists will be announced on or before June 15th.
